The Mazda RX8 uses 3 vacuum solenoids to control the operation of the Secondary Shutter Valve (SSV) and Variable Direct Intake (VDI) valves in the intake manifold and, the secondary air injection pump uses a solenoid when in operation on cold starts.
If the SSV or VDI solenoid has failed you may notice power loss, misfiring or other symptoms.
If the Secondary Air Injection pump solenoid has failed you may experience more wear on your catalytic converter which may lead to premature catalytic death and damage to engine.
Sold as singles, make sure you add 3 to cart to replace all 3 solenoids.
